Vietnam Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the human legacy of the War in Vietnam through remembrance, reconciliation, education, humanitarian engagement, and historical preservation. Working across nations and generations, the organization brings together veterans, families, communities, and institutions to deepen understanding of the war’s human consequences, preserve firsthand experience, and ensure that its history and lessons are carried forward with dignity, accuracy, and purpose. Return to Vietnam is a signature initiative of Vietnam Inc.
OUR INSTITUTIONAL MANDATE
Vietnam Inc. works across communities and nations to honor those whose lives were shaped by the War in Vietnam and to advance a fuller understanding of its enduring human impact. Its programs engage veterans, families, former adversaries, communities, and institutions from the United States, France, the former Republic of Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and other nations affected by the conflict, creating pathways for remembrance, reconciliation, education, preservation, and meaningful international engagement.

Vietnam Inc. advances remembrance, reconciliation, education, humanitarian engagement, and historical preservation through purpose-driven initiatives that honor those who served and those who were lost, strengthen understanding among veterans, families, communities, and generations, foster dialogue among former adversaries, preserve firsthand testimony and historic places, and ensure that the human experiences, consequences, and lessons of the War in Vietnam are carried forward with accuracy, dignity, and purpose.

Vietnam Inc. recognizes a responsibility to preserve the human record of the War in Vietnam with integrity, historical accuracy, and respect for all those affected by it. That responsibility extends beyond remembrance alone: it requires the preservation of testimony, the protection of historical memory, the advancement of informed dialogue, and the creation of opportunities for reconciliation and understanding so that future generations inherit not only the history of the war, but a deeper understanding of its human consequences.
