A generation still seeking the recognition it deserves.

BEGIN YOUR RETURN

For many Vietnam veterans, returning to the places where they served is a deeply personal journey of remembrance, reflection, and honoring those who never came home. Return to Vietnam welcomes veterans seeking the opportunity to revisit meaningful places, reconnect with fellow service members, and find moments of understanding and peace. Application Requirement: All veterans applying for a return journey must submit a completed application accompanied by a copy of their military discharge document, DD Form 214 (DD-214), for service verification. Your service matters. Your story matters. Your journey begins here.

“We honor those lost to war—and all who continue to carry its heavy burden—with heartfelt memory, deep human dignity, and soulful reconciliation.”

- Capt. Barry BECK, Vietnam (1965)

SUPPORT A VETERAN'S JOURNEY

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial bears the names of 58,281 American service members who never returned. Today, veterans continue to reach out to our organization, hoping to revisit the places where they served, honor fallen comrades, and find moments of personal peace. Behind every request is a human story. Behind every journey is an opportunity that time makes increasingly precious. We invite individuals, families, foundations, businesses, and patriotic supporters to stand with us in this historic mission. Your generosity can help make meaningful return journeys possible, preserve veterans' stories, and honor a legacy that must never be forgotten. We cannot bring back those we lost. But together, we can help those who returned find their way back to the places that shaped their lives.

PARTNER WITH US

A mission of this significance requires people and organizations who believe in honoring service, preserving history, and recognizing the lasting human consequences of war. We welcome partnerships with veterans' organizations, foundations, businesses, educational institutions, and community leaders who share our commitment to remembrance and reconciliation. Together, we can honor the past, support those who served, and preserve their legacy for generations to come.

SHARE A STORY

Every veteran carries a piece of history that deserves to be remembered. We welcome veterans, spouses, children, and families who wish to share their experiences, photographs, memories, and stories of service, sacrifice, and return. Through their voices, we can help future generations better understand the human cost of war and the lasting effects on those who served and those who love them. Every story matters. Every memory deserves respect. Every voice helps preserve history.
