How to Begin Your Journey Back:
-
Step #1:
Letter of Introduction:
As part of the application process for the return journey to Vietnam, applicants must submit a Letter of Introduction. This letter should include three components: a unit overview with a concise summary of your service background and unit information; deployment details noting the key locations where your unit was stationed in Vietnam; and a readiness statement affirming your commitment to honoring fallen comrades, preserving their memory, and sharing their stories through this journey of reflection and remembrance.
-
Step #2:
Health and Readiness Requirement:
To fulfill our mission of reconnecting your unit with the locations of past service, all participating veterans must be in excellent health. Comprehensive medical documentation and formal clearance are required before travel. Our programs are distinguished by authenticity, accuracy, and meticulous planning, with participant safety and well-being as the highest priority. Because this journey requires physical, emotional, and logistical readiness, those unable to meet these expectations or demonstrate full commitment are respectfully asked not to apply.
-
Step #3:
Respect the Mission:
Returning to Vietnam through this program is both profound and demanding. While emotional challenges may arise, the journey is anchored in honor, reflection, and shared purpose. Participation stands as a living tribute to comrades and the enduring bonds of service. Our mission is to preserve the legacy of those who served and to provide a meaningful platform for remembrance and healing. All participants are expected to approach this experience with humility, understanding, and full commitment to the program’s spirit.
Costs of Participation
At the heart of this initiative is a simple promise: no veteran should bear a personal cost to take this journey. Every expense—airfare, lodging, meals, and transportation—is fully covered, ensuring that each participant can focus entirely on what truly matters: reflection, connection, and healing. By removing financial barriers, the program offers veterans the freedom to experience Vietnam not through worry or burden, but through openness, gratitude, and peace.
